The exact translation standard USCIS enforces

Under 8 CFR 103.2(b)(3), USCIS requires that any document in a foreign language submitted with an immigration application must be accompanied by a full English translation. The translator must certify in writing that they are competent to translate and that the translation is accurate and complete.

This means a standard translation is not enough. The translation must include a signed certification statement from the translator. USCIS officers are trained to reject applications where the translation does not include this statement.

Our translations go further than the minimum requirement. Every translation is reviewed and signed by a licensed New York State Notary Public in addition to the translator's certification statement. This gives your documents additional legal weight and eliminates the risk of a rejection on translation grounds.
